Meet Pear

Pear is an active, easy-to-train 52-lb girl who's looking for a family that loves weekend hikes and daily neighborhood walks — and she just might surprise you as a running partner too. She's cautiously curious about the world (a lot of it is still new to her), but she grows more confident every day. Pear is very food motivated and picks up training quickly. She's cat-friendly, tolerant of other dogs, and does best with older children since she doesn't quite know her own size yet. All she needs is the love, structure, and security of a forever home to truly blossom.

  Nose Work→

Pear's cautious curiosity and strong food motivation make her a natural fit for nose work: the sport rewards a dog who is eager to hunt for treats, channels nervous energy into focused scent detection, and builds confidence through low-pressure, self-paced success — exactly the kind of structured win Pear needs as she grows bolder every day. Her quick uptake in training means she'll advance through odor targets faster than you'd expect, turning that thoughtful, exploratory nature into a genuine competitive asset in the search box.
