Canine Freestyle
WCFO is the internationally oriented freestyle body, offering both Musical Freestyle and Heelwork to Music with strong emphasis on artistic impression alongside technical merit. Open to all breeds and mixed breeds; AKC registration isn't required. Scoring is split between Technical Merit and Artistic Impression as two parallel categories rather than a single combined score — teams need qualifying averages in both, not just an overall pass mark. The bar climbs with each level: 7.25 at Beginners, 8.0 at Novice, 8.5 at Intermediate, 9.2 at Advanced and 9.5 for Champion Perfect Dance Partners. Beyond the main ladder, WCFO runs a Juniors division for handlers up to 18, Sassy Seniors (dogs over 9 or handlers over 65), Handi Dandi for physically challenged dogs or handlers, and pairs, team and brace classes.
