Agility
NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council) is built around flowing, ground-saving courses and distance work rather than tight technical handling. There's no teeter, the jump height tops out at 20 inches, and the lines stay open and safe. Its signature is the Chances class — a pure distance-and-directional test where the handler stays behind a line — plus a deep bench of non-jumping and low-impact classes (Tunnelers, Weavers, Grounders, Touch N Go) and the Gamblers game that make it one of the most joint-friendly venues. Open to all breeds and mixes.
Hoopers
NADAC is where Hoopers started and the longest-running US program. From the mid-2000s through 2021, NADAC ran Hoopers as a standalone titling class at four levels: Intro (HP-I), Novice (HP-N), Open (HP-O), and Elite (HP-E). On January 1, 2022, NADAC merged Hoopers and Barrelers into one Grounders class — a numbered course of barrels, hoops, and tunnels — and combined existing points into Grounders points. Purebred and mixed-breed dogs are welcome; NADAC requires a dog registration number rather than a kennel-club pedigree. Dogs must be 15 months old for Intro and 18 months for Novice and up.
